How far the studio is from Bari
The studio is at Via Umberto 230, in Trani: from the centre of Bari it's about thirty minutes by car. You head north along the coast, passing Giovinazzo, Molfetta and Bisceglie, staying on the same road the whole way.

Set off after a feed, dress them lightly, and allow a margin beyond the half an hour on the road.

Breaks for feeding and changing are part of the session. That's why there's no precise finishing time: coming from Bari, it's best to keep the whole morning free.
These windows come from experience, not fixed rules: if your baby already has a few extra days, write to me anyway and we will see what we can do.
How to get from Bari to Trani
On the SS16 heading north, about half an hour from the centre of Bari. Alternatively, the A14, exiting at the Trani toll booth.
On the SS16
It's the direct route: from Bari you head north along the coast and come off at Trani. You stay on the same road the whole way and there's no toll to pay. In the sat nav, the studio's address is enough, Via Umberto 230.
On the motorway, if the entrance is convenient
If you live near the ring road you can take the A14 and come off at the Trani toll booth. It only makes sense if that entrance is convenient for you, because along the coast the state road takes you to the studio without changing roads.
How much time to allow
The half an hour on the road plus a margin for a stop: with a newborn you might need to stop for a feed. We set the time of the session with the journey in mind, so coming from Bari you don't set off at the last moment.

With a full tummy they sleep on the road and you arrive without stopping. If they wake up hungry halfway through the journey, you stop and set off again afterwards: the session doesn't have a precise finishing time.
Dress them lightly, with the blanket on top
Under the car seat straps you need thin layers, and at the studio the room is warmer than usual. A light onesie with the blanket laid on top comes off in a moment; outfits with lots of buttons make every change longer.
Come as a pair, if you can
Whoever drives shouldn't also be the one holding the baby. If the dad or a grandmother comes along the journey is easier, and at the studio you have your hands free. You'll still be in the photos yourselves, at least for part of the session.
Don't overload the car
Bring what you normally use for changing and feeding, plus a change of clothes: the studio takes care of the rest. The full list is in the guide on what to bring.
Why the newborn session is done at the studio and not at your home
The room needs to be kept warmer than usual, because an undressed newborn wakes up as soon as they feel cold. That room is in Trani, at Via Umberto 230, and that's why I don't move this session elsewhere.
For other sessions I do travel: pregnancy photos can also be taken on the beach, the christening in church. Not the newborn session, and that goes for people who live two streets from the studio too.
I'm the one who photographs the baby. Little Stories was born inside Studio Zitoli in Trani, where weddings have been photographed for generations, and the newborn side is the part I look after: about me.

Other photography sessions for children
Many families start before the birth and come back afterwards. For the christening and for birthdays ask me in advance, because those aren't done at the studio: they're photographed in church or wherever you hold the party.
What the session includes
Time at the studio, the selection and postproduction of the shots I deliver. Products are chosen after seeing the photos: the high resolution files, prints, the album.

Don't you come to Bari to do the session at our home?
No, I do the newborn session at the studio, in Trani. The room needs to be kept warmer than usual, and an undressed newborn wakes up as soon as they feel cold: in a house I can't control that condition. From the centre of Bari it's about thirty minutes by car, and the session is done just once, in the first 10 to 15 days of life.
What if we hit traffic and arrive late?
Let me know while you're on the road, on WhatsApp or at the studio number, 0883 588902. Newborn sessions are in the morning and don't have a precise finishing time, so tell me and we'll adjust instead of rushing. The opposite is also true: if the baby is hungry, stop and let them feed calmly before setting off again.
Our baby is already twenty days old, have we missed the window?
Not necessarily. The best window is the first 10 to 15 days, ideally the first 10, because sleep is deeper and the curled up poses come naturally. After that we still photograph, with a more alert baby and different photos. Message me the exact age and I'll tell you what we can expect.
Can we book before the baby is born?
Yes, and it's the right way to do it. During pregnancy we mark down the period, not the day: you tell me the due date and we stay in touch. When the baby is born you message me, and from there we set the morning in the first days, ideally within the first ten. Coming from Bari, there's still the time to decide, and we choose it with the journey in mind.

Message me the due date and we'll organise things from there. If the baby has already been born, send me the date of birth: it's easy to see straight away how many days are left within the window of the first 10 to 15.
